Menopause night wear – cooling nighties and PJ’s

For many women, night sweats are an uncomfortable side effect of the menopause, but you can help alleviate some of the issues by choosing natural cotton sleepwear.

Our company strapline ‘sleep in natural comfort’ does what it says on the tin … with a range of beautiful nightdresses and pyjamas made of 100% natural cotton to help you have a more comfortable night’s sleep.
Not only is choosing the right fabric helpful, but some women find that a looser style of nightie is also comfier and more breathable.

If you’re trying to tackle the problems of hot flushes in bed, it is far better to opt for natural, breathable fabric such as cotton or linen, and try to avoid wearing synthetic fabric which can make you hotter by trapping heat and promoting sweat.

You could also think about switching to cotton bed linen too which, like your sleepwear, should also help absorb moisture, but still provide warmth after your hot flush is over.

We have also had another handy tip from some of our ladies who have purchased from White Nightie to help with their menopause sleep, so we will happily pass it on to you, and hope it helps relieve your discomfort.

Place your cotton nightie or PJ’s into a sealed freezer bag and place in the freezer about an hour before you go to bed. You can then get dressed into cool natural fabric and hope for a more comfortable night’s rest.
